Mitchell Dominates British Championship Season Opener at Desertmartin

Team ATV World Yamaha rider John Mitchell once again dominated the first round of the Goldspeed ACU British Quad Championship with three straight wins to take the first round at the Porters Pit circuit.

With fantastic weather and a well prepared track, race one of three got underway. John Mitchell made a good start and quickly worked his way into the lead. Holding off the chasing pack, John rode his ATV World Yamaha YFZ450R Fuel Injection bike with expertise and style, taking a commanding first win.

In race two, John was second into the first corner and battling hard with KTM’s Paul Winrow. They pulled away from the other riders and continued to battle it out with John finishing first at the flag.



It was yet another fine display from John in race three, taking the finish line in first place and clinching the first round in emphatic style, also taking the fastest lap times in races two and three!

John commented after the days racing “I am clearly delighted that I have won all the races in the first round, just like last year. I have been working closely with the team at ATV World to get the best performance out of the Yamaha YFZ450R Fuel Injection and these results show that it’s got the performance capability to match anything you can throw at it. Battling again the KTM of Paul Winrow has been intense and I’m looking forward to round two.”
