ATV World Yamaha dominate Quad X Champs

Round 5 of the IOPD British Quad-X Championship took place on the 5th August in the blistering heat at Holsworthy in Devon. Having made the perfect start to the weekend with John Mitchell taking first place in round four and Paul Holmes taking second, it was shaping up to be a fantastic weekend for team ATV World Yamaha.

John qualified third and battled with Ricky Tordoff in both race one and two. Both times he successfully pulled away in the final stages of the race and took both wins.

Paul was having a good day too. As the temperature went up, so did his performance as he took the fastest qualifying time and finished third in both races. Paul commented after the race: “The track was fast and flowing, my new Elka suspension was mega all weekend and my Vitargo sport drinks kept me full of energy in the blistering heat!!”

John now leads the championship with Paul Holmes in second place! A superb achievement for both riders and the team.



Team ATV World Yamaha journey to Latvia now for the second round of the European Championships on the 11th and 12th of August. Next UK event will be round six of the CCM British MMX Quad Championships at Howton Court – see you there!
