HOTSHOT HOLMES TAKES 2ND PLACE IN NETT CHAMPIONSHIPS
This weekend was another exciting one for ATV World Yamaha rider Paul Holmes as he took part in round two of the NETT Quad Championships at Tow Law, County Durham. Despite some earlier rain, the track conditions were OK with some good jumps and tough passing opportunities. |
|
In the first race Paul (on his ATV World Yamaha YFZ450) came from fifth to second, making some impressive passes and finishing just behind Ricky Tordoff. The second race was very similar, with Paul moving from fifth to second and Tordoff taking the lead. In the final race of the day, Paul got off to a bad start and was running in ninth. However, he worked his way up through the pack in impressive style to take third, just behind Lindsey Duke and the on-form Tordoff.

These results leave Paul second on the day and second overall in the NETT Championship. Paul is also second in the IOPD British Pro Class Quad-X Championship; just behind team mate John Mitchell. He is also leading the U21’s CCM British MMX Championships. This is an outstanding achievement for a rider who is only in his second quad season.

Both John Mitchell and Paul Holmes, along with team ATV World Yamaha will be racing next at the third round of the CCM British MMX Championships, 28th May at Asham Woods, Frome – see you there!
