Another overall first place trophy adorned the trophy cabinet for Norfolk based ATV World youth quad cross champion Tyler Soar, from this weekends trip to the North East ACU championships hosted by the netts quad club County Durham.
Race one saw Tyler settle for a second place on a very narrow course with dust ridden conditions, where passing was not only difficult but potentially hazardous.
For race two the water bowser came out which made conditions better for him to take a well ridden and well deserved first place, back markers as usual played there part in creating obstacles which Tyler overcame with his usual smooth and controlled riding.

It was then the critical race three that would be the deciding factor in giving him an overall first on the day, the gate dropped and the pace was blistering, with Tyler second in to the first corner and Scottish Ace Connor Smith (KTM) hot on his tail, Tyler passed leader Lee Lawton (Suzuki) within two laps and with fast jumps and smooth corners gave the watching crowd exciting entertainment.
It was nearly disaster for Tyler and Connor when two back markers on a table top decided to come together at the critical point when Tyler was going between them with one of the riders wheels riding against Tyler's nerf bars and Connor hitting Tyler s rear wheel. Tyler pulled in the clutch dropped a gear, hit the rev limiter and blasted his way through splitting the pair in bomb burst fashion, no riders were unseated in the execution of the move, which was a major bonus.
Tyler came home to take the chequered flag and increase his championship points lead to a massive 30 points, the points tally even more impressive when you bear in mind Tyler started with a deficit of 30 points as he missed his first race of the first meeting due to a fuel issue.
