7th May Hawkstone Park 2006
John Mitchell dominated the opening round of the British Quad Cross Championship's this weekend with an inspired double win at Hawkstone Park. Regarded as the most demanding track on the race calendar, this was a gruelling challenge for both rider and machine. John's ATV World / Yamaha YFZ450 had been perfectly tuned to deliver for maximum performance. While other riders struggled with their quads, John looked smooth as he pulled away from the pack and never looked back. In race two John had won by a staggering 29 second lead! "I had a really promising start to the season. The bike was superb even in conditions such as these. I don't think I have ridden a track rougher than this ever!" |
